DESCRIPTION

  • Health & Fire Safety:
  • The Health & Safety Eecutive is responsible for enforcing the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, which states that all staff are suitably trained in the prevention of physical risk both to themselves and to others. Under the Fire Safety Law all employers must implement and maintain a fire management plan and all staff must be suitably trained in fire prevention and the course of action in the event of a fire.
  • Manual Handling:
  • Health and Safety at Work Regulations require employees to provide their employees with health and safety information and training. This should include as necessary, information and training on manual handling injury risks and prevention. On this course delegates will learn the types of injury that are caused through poor manual handling and the correct methods that should be used when lifting and moving items.
  • Risk Assessment:
  • Demonstrates how to identify hazards and reduce risk in the workplace.
